1. Where are the baseball fields?
Field Maps
Field maps and other forms can be found on the links page available from the menu on the left-hand side of this page.

2. When should I expect to hear from my child's coach?

Commissioners set up the teams and schedules during the first two weeks of March.  You can then expect to hear from your child's coach sometime after March 15th.  By rule, in-house teams are not able to use the fields until April 1st.
2. Does the Fallston Recreation Program support Fall baseball?

Fallston Baseball does not sanction any "fall ball" teams or leagues. You are not permitted to use Fallston fields for organized team practice or games ( this includes high school fields ). To be clear - Fallston Baseball does not have nor support fall teams.

Travel Answers

1. What are the time / commitment requirements for playing travel?
Playing travel requires play on Weekends & Holidays. Mother's Day, Memorial Day, Father's Day, 4th of July.
A: Travel Coaches put a lot of time and effort into their Travel teams so make sure you are 100% committed before you agree to play.
7-8, 9-10, 11-12 travel teams usually practice one week night and have double header games on Saturday or Sunday but not both unless involved in a tournament. These players are also required to play in our in-house program which involves 2 week night games. This would be a 4 or 5 day commitment depending on the coach.
13U, 14U, 15U are FULL time travel teams. These travel teams do not have to play in-house. The 13U plays 1 game during the week and a double header on Sunday. They also may have a practice squeezed in during the week. 14 & 15U play 2 week nights and double headers on Saturday or Sunday. These teams also practice in between games. All 3 divisions play in tournaments which require playing both Saturday & Sundays on some occasions.
Travel is only for the serious player.

2. What kind of Travel is involved?
A: The 7-8, 9-10, & 11 - 12 teams usually stay pretty close. Most games are in Harford County. Most Tournaments are local. Perry Hall, Rosedale, Essex, White Marsh.
The 13U, 14U, & 15U teams are all over the place...LOTS OF TRAVEL. Frederick, Olney, Sykesville, Columbia, Laurel...get the idea? These teams will also enter in out of state tournaments which might require lodging and overnight stays. Discuss this with your coach before committing to a team.

3. How much does it cost to play travel?
A: This answer varies by age and coach. Some teams have better quality and multiple uniforms. Some teams enter in more tournaments. I will give you a ball park idea of what to expect. Keep in mind that some teams do fundraising to off set parents costs. Keep in mind that each player must pay $80 to Fallston Rec to sign up. This over and above the fees listed below.
Ballpark Idea:
7-8 / $150 - $200
